| after leaving it in the dust of "my favorite" pile, i decided to listen LIVE with you kids in the states and clicked on my 95.9thefish link. third day's "king of glory" came on, and images just started flooding in. it's been a long long time since i last sat there and reminisced about the college years. for some reason, english worship songs just does it for me. they make me nostalgic, and my heart melts hahah. every feeling, every scenario, every person of the past.... all seemed so close and so real. i started thinking: all the times i've driven down nobel drive and listened to third day, never would i have imagined that God would bring me to the place i am at right now. what is this place? it's a place where i've been given many unexpected gifts. God gave me... a church so amazing and passionate that i can only describe it as a place of signs and miracles. witnessing and experiencing just how physically and supernatually REAL God is is revelational. it made me truly understand why the gospel is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes... it made me thirst to see God's kingdom come... His will done on earth as it is in heaven... where every knee will bow, every tongue confess... because that promise... that vision... defines for me what a joyful life should be about. in Genesis 22, Abraham prepared his donkey, enough wood, and his beloved son Isaac as he went up the mountains in Moriah. like many situations i've encountered this past year with family, work, relationships... i bet Abraham couldn't understand why God would promise him something, give it to him, take it away, then give it back to him again. God wanted his heart, and He wants all of our hearts as well. a heart of faith and obedience at times of confusion, impatience, and weariness. we all have our own mountains to climb... our own Isaac's that is entitled to us but ultimately God's... but because of God's grace... when we reach the place of offering, there will be a ram stuck in a thicket. that my friend, is The Lord Will Provide. from 1,000 church members to 10,000 in the next 10 years. that is God's promise to us. and to think, God gave abraham isaac in order to have descendents as numerous as the stars in the sky... in the same way, this huge revival in our church is simply a straight promise from God that He will save the souls of our entire nation. oh yea baby, here we come!! |
